Sorry about the lack of content but I had to go into Hospital for an operation & am only now beginning to feel almost human again!

Pain does strange things to one’s bodies – but – I’m pleased to report that I am healing quickly & fully intend to be back in my fins before the end of April.

Meanwhile – to keep me out of mischief….I’ve been as active as possible with NEST – North Eastern Sea Turtles – since the main laying season is fast approaching & we need to organize training, volunteer patrols, educational support & general data collection. I sincerely hope that since legislation was passed last October in Trindad & Tobago making it illegal to catch, have or possess any part of any Sea Turtle – that this year will see fewer poachers…..watch this space….

My compressor is up ‘n running, some good work has been completed on the Centre’s shower & dip-tank areas & I’ve been busy with Open Water & Advanced Courses.

The new engines should be on True Blue before the end of July – ever the optimist – then we’re all Go, go, go………

There have been Turtles on almost every dive – sometimes 2 or 3 – & lots of Rays around just now – the waters are wonderful & things are looking good.

But due to the terrible state of things in Japan – we are not on their priority list for exports so don’t know how long I may have to wait until my engines arrive here. Meanwhile – the Mantas are out, the Seas are teeming with life & visibility is excellent!

We are using alternative fishing boats for our dives & getting tanks filled wherever we can so the diving is still fabulous.
